A Houston native and graduate of the University of Houston’s College of Business, Aaron achieved the honor of the Dean’s List on the way to obtaining his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1992. Aaron witnessed firsthand the dedication and determination it takes to have a successful business. The Obenberger family started their own company ROMCO Mfg., in 1980. He credits his parents for his strong work ethic that in turn allowed Aaron to put himself through college working in various roles from shop sweeper to machine programmer.
Aaron took a brief hiatus from his business career to pursue his love of motorcycles. After a few years of competing at many levels and earning multiple championships, he chose to leave the exhilaration of motorcycle racing behind and embark on his business career. However, he does admit that his passion for motorcycles and racing will always live in his heart.
Aaron started in the investment business at Capital Management Group (CMG), based out of Denver, Colorado, in 2004 where his ability to develop sound wealth management solutions and to provide excellent service was quickly recognized. In 2013, he purchased the business he had developed during the last decade from CMG. Taking what he learned at CMG, Aaron began to mold the practice into what is now known as Rockwell Wealth Management. Aaron continued building on the premise of providing comprehensive, personalized, wealth management while recognizing the unique needs of the clients he serves.
Aaron married his wife Shanna in 1999. Shanna also obtained her business degree at the University of Houston and was an independent certified court reporter for over 10 years. They have two children, Laney and Dane. Aaron and Shanna are heavily involved in their children’s educations and extracurricular activities. Aaron and Shanna are deeply involved in the community and at their church. The entire family loves the water and spends their free time fishing and boating together.
